Platform fee & seller membership
GettinPlace817 charges a per-sale commission that depends on the seller's active membership tier: Free Seller pays 10%, Pro Seller pays 5%, Elite Seller pays 2%, and Luxury Dealer pays 0% platform commission (only payment processing fees apply).
Sellers may choose a monthly plan to reduce the per-sale commission. The active tier at the time of purchase determines the commission for that order. The commission is calculated on the total order amount including shipping, deducted before payout, and shown on each order alongside the seller's net amount.
Accepted payments
Buyers pay through Stripe using credit cards or debit cards. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by GettinPlace.
Cash, wire transfers, gift cards, and payment apps arranged privately are not permitted and void all buyer and seller protections.
Seller payouts
Payouts are released based on seller standing. Standard sellers receive payouts after the item is delivered and the dispute window has passed. Trusted Sellers qualify for payout on shipment with valid tracking. Elite Trusted Sellers qualify for fast-track release.
A payout may be delayed or frozen while a dispute, chargeback, authenticity report, or fraud review is open on the related order or account. Sellers can view pending and released payouts from their dashboard.
Refund rules
Refunds are issued when an item is not received, or when an item is significantly not as described. Approved refunds cover the item price and the shipping the buyer paid.
When a refund is caused by the seller, our commission on that sale is reversed and any amount already paid out is recovered from future payouts.
Chargeback policy
If a buyer disputes a charge with their card issuer, we notify the seller, gather evidence, and represent the transaction. The related payout is held until the card network decides.
GettinPlace may suspend an account during a chargeback investigation. Repeated chargeback abuse by a buyer, or repeated losses caused by a seller's conduct, may result in a permanent ban and recovery of the disputed amount.
Taxes
Sellers are responsible for their own income taxes and for any sales tax they are legally required to collect and remit. We provide order records to help with reporting.
