Auction Terms & Conditions

How timed auctions, reserves, Buy Now, and auction closing work.
How our auctions run
Auctions are timed. Each bid must exceed the current high bid, and the first bid must meet the starting bid. The highest bid at closing time wins, provided any reserve price is met.
Sellers may not bid on their own items, and bids from accounts connected to the seller are cancelled.
Reserve price
A reserve is the confidential minimum a seller will accept. If bidding ends below reserve, the auction closes unsold and no contract forms. Reserve status is shown on the listing without revealing the amount.
Buy Now
Where a seller offers Buy Now, any buyer may end the auction immediately at that price. Buy Now is withdrawn once bidding reaches or exceeds it.
Closing and winner notification
Auctions close automatically at their end time. The system creates the order, notifies the winning bidder and the seller, and moves the item to sold. Losing bidders are notified when they are outbid.
The winner must pay promptly and the seller must fulfil within their stated handling time.
Bid retraction and cancellation
Bids are binding. We may cancel a bid or an entire auction for a clear typographical error, a materially changed description, a suspected manipulation attempt, or a policy violation.
